Susan is the Community Engagement Administrator for the City of Denver’s business sustainability program, Certifiably Green Denver, and is a member of the Climate Action Team. In collaboration with the City’s Food Systems group and NRDC, Susan recently led a restaurant food waste pilot in the Highlands neighborhood and will lead a citywide restaurant food waste initiative in the fall. Prior to moving to Denver, Susan worked for Boulder County’s Resource Conservation Division, Eco-Cycle and the City of Boulder on a variety of Zero Waste initiatives in the residential and commercial sectors. She holds Bachelor’s Degrees in architecture and Spanish from the University of Virginia and a Master’s Degree in Urban & Regional Planning from the University of Sydney.
