Sophie Javna

Farmer and Activist

Sophie Javna grew up in Ashland, Oregon and moved to Colorado Springs in 2012 to attend Colorado College (CC). She graduated in May of 2016 with a degree in Theatre. During college she spent all of her free time performing, farming, and community organizing. She currently lives on an urban farm in a food desert in Colorado Springs where she and three CC alumni are growing food for themselves and their neighbors. She is on the Food Policy Advisory Board of the Pikes Peak Region and on the Slow Food of Pike’s Peak Steering Committee. She was a delegate at Slow Food’s 2016 Terra Madre in Italy and has been looking forward to Slow Food Nations since!
