Gayla Horseth

Gayla Hoseth is a native Alaskan woman and a mother of two living a subsistence lifestyle in Dillingham, Alaska. Gayla works at Bristol Bay Native Association as the Subsistence Research Specialist and works on issues to sustain our food security for residents in Bristol Bay through the Federal Subsistence Board, ADF&G Board of Fish and Board of Game regulatory processes. Gayla serves as the 2nd Chief for Curyung Tribal Council, Co-Chair on the Alaska Migratory Bird Co-Management Council, Board member for Stand for Salmon, Secretary for the Bristol Bay Marine Mammal Council, At-Large Representative on the Alaska Department of Fish and Game Nushagak Advisory Council, Alternate Board member for United Tribes of Bristol Bay. Gayla works closely with the tribes and residents in the Bristol Bay region to ensure we continue to live our subsistence way of life.
