Davia Nelson

Co-Producer, NPR Series "The Kitchen Sisters Present…"

Davia Nelson is half of NPR’s show Kitchen Sisters. She is also one of the producers of the duPont-Columbia and James Beard Award-winning series Hidden Kitchens, which is listened to by many on NPR’s Morning Edition. If that weren’t enough, Davia also produced two Peabody Award-winning NPR series, Lost & Found Sound and The Sonic Memorial Project. Finally, the Webby Award-winning podcast, The Kitchen Sisters Present… is part of Radiotopia from PRX.
The Kitchen Sisters also produce The Hidden World of Girls, heard on NPR and hosted by Tina Fey. The accolades can’t help but continue: their first book Hidden Kitchens: Stories, Recipes & More From NPR’s Kitchen Sisters was a New York Times Notable Book of the Year. Download their latest NPR series, The Keepers, wherever you listen to your favorite podcasts. These stories feature activist archivists, rogue librarians, curators, collectors and historians—the keepers of the culture, and the culture and collections that they keep.
