Daniel Tewarion:ni Mapp is a Mohawk from Kahnawake Mohawk Territory. He spent several years living on the Akwesasne Mohawk Reservation work with Kanenenhi:io Ionkwiaenthonhakie (We Are Planting Good Seeds.) He was brought up with the basic principles of traditional growing methods, including the Three Sisters companion planting practice. He is the manager of Four Bridges’ educational farm in Santa Cruz, New Mexico, where he specializes in cultivating the Sacred Gardens Project, and working with youth in their Agri-Kidz Program. He has been involved with Slow Food since 2006 and has been to Terra Madre in Italy, and Indigenous Terra Madre in Shillong, India.
