Slow Food San Francisco

Sarah Skinker is an urban farmer, amateur mushroom forager and fermentation enthusiast. As TNDC’s Urban Agriculture Supervisor, she manages operations and programming at 9 edible rooftop gardens and 2 farms in the Tenderloin, improving access to good food and wellness education in the only San Francisco neighborhood without a grocery store. Sarah has also taught in school gardens and cafeterias with FoodCorps, managed a small farm incubation project, coordinated school garden to farmer’s market programming, edible landscaping, and food literacy curriculum development.
