Michael Marsh is the President and CEO of the National Council of Agricultural Employers (NCAE). He has earned two bachelor’s degrees (history and accounting) and had also studied law, all at the University of Wyoming. Michael first began his career in public accounting in Casper, Wyoming, working for a CPA firm that had many farm and ranch clients. However, his career changed dramatically when he began to focus on forensic accounting and fraud investigation. Low and behold, it was a fraud case he solved at the National Potato Promotion Board in Denver that ended up tying him inextricably to agriculture. As a result, he was hired to be the Director of Finance for the Almond Board of California and later became the CEO of the largest dairy producer trade association in the US: Western United Dairymen in Modesto. After consulting for a few years within the realms of litigation support and complex financial transactions in Federal District Court, Michael made the return to return his true passion, and now advocates for America’s farmers and ranchers at NCAE.
