Margaret Read is a food policy consultant who works with organizations and school districts across the country to improve their school meals programs, farm to school programs, and school wellness policies. Previously she was a research associate for the Rudd Center for Food Policy & Obesity.

Margaret Read is the Policy Committee Chair on the Rhode Island Food Policy Council and serves on the Network Advisory Council of FINE (Farm to Institution New England. She also sits on the Slow Food USA policy committee.
