Lentine Alexis

Culinary Director, Cured Boulder

Born and raised in Boulder, Colorado, it’s perhaps not surprising that playing hard inspires not only Lentine’s hunger and creativity as a person in the world but also her work in the kitchen. A graduate of the Patisserie + Baking program at the legendary Le Cordon Bleu, Lentine was a professional endurance athlete before becoming a classically trained chef. Training and racing all over the world, this occupation was made golden less by her athletic accomplishments and more by shaping her philosophy that we all need a healthy diet of rich experiences, adventure, and the highest quality food ingredients to fuel our best selves.

A passionate locavore, Lentine spent time in the Michelin-starred restaurants of Los Angeles and her work has appeared and her work has appeared international publications (Outside Magazine, Bicycling Magazine, Bon Appetit Magazine, San Francisco Chronicle.) She is the Culinary Director at Cured Boulder, but don’t be surprised to see Lentine perusing the farmer’s market early in the morning so she can spend the rest of the day riding her bike, hiking, trail running or packing a picnic to take into the high country, spinning her mental wheels, soaking up stars and campfire smells, and coming up with new recipes.

Her first cookbook, written for active appetites and whole-foods enthusiasts, will be published in the spring of 2021 with Roost Books/Random House.
