Laurie is a “Big Picture” school garden educator. She designs her lessons that will ultimately weave connections within her community. She has been teaching garden side for over 10 years. Laurie has worked as a Project Manager on USDA and CDFA grants which focused on building school and community gardens. She is the chair of Slow Food North Valley and is board president for Chico Natural Foods Cooperative. Laurie has been a host for her local community radio station KZFR for over 20 years. Her work and leisure time have a common theme of exploring and supporting a local economy, sustainability practices, and a regenerative future.
