Joshua Siegel is the chef owner of The Park restaurant in the Echo Park neighborhood of Los Angeles. He is also the majority partner in Monte 52, a sandwich shop in the Highland Park neighborhood of Los Angeles. Joshua began cooking in the San Francisco Bay Area in the early 90s where he was impressed by the growing chef driven neighborhood restaurant movement. Upon moving to Los Angeles he realized his dream of opening a neighborhood restaurant with The Park and just passed his 10th year anniversary in March.
Along with his focus on cooking delicious food Joshua is also interested in the social function of restaurants in general. Restaurants offer excellent opportunities to examine environmental issues, immigration policy, education and training, anger management/mental health practices, animal cruelty and nutrition. He continues to move his restaurants and cooking style towards a progressive and compassionate approach that feeds, educates and nurtures customers and employees on multiple levels pertaining to these issues.
