John is the project coordinator of the Food systems Solution Platform project with Slow Food Uganda. He is also the coordinator of the Slow Food Youth Network in Uganda and Africa, and organizes the World Disco Soup Day in April every year.

As volunteer and communications chair for Slow Food Uganda, he coordinates three Earth Markets, works in school gardens to promote the 10,000 gardens in Africa project, and engages youth through interactive activities to make them familiar with the food system. He has been working with Slow Food since 2014.
