Jennifer Casey

Executive Director, Fondy Food Center

Jennifer Casey is the Executive Director of the Fondy Food Center, a Milwaukee based non-profit that brings healthy, local food and economic opportunity to Wisconsin through its farmers markets, farms, and city-wide healthy food access initiative – the Milwaukee Farmers Market Coalition. The Coalition is working to connect more low-income consumers with the benefits of farmers markets through several strategies, including policy and advocacy. She is a Registered Dietitian and professional cook whose work focuses on building a more resilient, diverse, healthy, and environmentally friendly food system. Before coming to Fondy, she ran the Diabetes and Community Health programs at Milwaukee’s only American Indian Health Center – where she had the opportunity to experience the power of renewing cultural food traditions to improve public health. Jennifer has been a Slow Food volunteer for over a decade; currently in the role of SFU Wisconsin Governor.
