Born and raised in South Philly, Jen landed her first restaurant job hosting and serving at The Manayunk Brewery after graduating high school and was immediately drawn to the vibrant, fast paced work. From Philly, Jen relocated to Ithaca New York, where she served and bartended while taking classes, earning a bachelor’s degree in English and Writing from Ithaca College in 2007. After graduation, Mattioni accepted her first management position at Stella’s and sister restaurant, Olivia and in doing so, realized her strong connection to the service industry, and made the conscious decision to pursue hospitality as a lifelong career.

Since moving to Denver in 2008, Jen managed, bartended, and served in multiple restaurants including The Walnut Room, Prohibition, Leña, Mezcal, Central Bistro, and Candela Latin Kitchen. In addition, Jen is also an active member of the Colorado Bartender’s Guild, presently serving on the board as their membership coordinator. Mattioni embraces the need for continued education, community outreach, and innovative ways to foster passion in all aspects of the industry and cannot wait to further those spheres as a local business owner and part of the Colfax community.
