Macharia Thiong’o is a Slow Food member from Kenya, Africa. He holds a Bsc in International Business, Msc Service Management, MBA Finance and he is a CFA Charter-holder. Currently he is in hotel industry as an entrepreneur and the founder of ‘No Food Waste Africa’, a movement that advocates food loss from farm to plate and food waste mitigation on the whole value chain. Macharia is also a small-scale rabbit farmer in Central Kenya and he uses the project as a learning platform for local communities. He has a passion for sustainable tourism and has an active urban garden in his dwelling.
