Deb Eschmeyer

A social entrepreneur with a relentless passion, Deb is striving to make safe, healthy, sustainable, and delicious food available for all. Deb is the Vice President of Communications & Community Affairs for Danone North America, the largest public benefit corporation and largest Certified B Corp in the World. Deb leads the public benefit strategy to help deliver on the mission of bringing health through food to as many people as possible.

She most recently served in the Obama White House as Executive Director of Let’s Move!, a public health initiative created by First Lady Michelle Obama, which focused on supporting healthy kids and families. Deb also was President Obama’s Senior Policy Advisor for Nutrition focused on improving the federal nutrition landscape. Prior to serving in the Obama Administration, Deb co-founded FoodCorps, a national nonprofit that places AmeriCorps service members into schools to connect kids to healthy food. While growing FoodCorps into over 500 schools in 18 states, she started an organic fruit and vegetable farm on 22 acres with her husband in her hometown in rural Ohio.
