My name is Beulah Black Cloud and I from the Yankton Sioux Reservation in South Dakota. I graduated from high school in 2018. Throughout my high school career I was a student athlete that participated in volleyball, track, basketball, and cheerleading. I was team captain my senior year for basketball and volleyball. Some other extra-curricular activities I participated in was All State Choir, JAG (Job for American Graduates), FCCLA, and Native American Club. I was president for both JAG and Native American Club my senior year. When I wasn’t doing anything doing school hours, I would spend as much time with my youth group kids doing sand volleyball, video games, playing ping pong, and watching movies.
I am currently attending Black Hill State University in Spearfish, SD. I am majoring in Human Services and minoring in Business. I’m also participating in the track program and Campus Ventures. I also help out in a local youth group, guiding middle/high school kids. My hobbies are playing volleyball, hammocking, listening to music, and just spending time with friends/family. In addition, I am currently serving as an AmeriCorps Summer Associate VISTA with the Four Winds American Indian Council here in Denver.
