Travel to the Land of Slow Food.
Make Slow Food your next destination as you arrive at Union Station in downtown Denver.
Come for the food and stay for the free and educational exhibits and workshops. Learn about delicious and distinctive foods facing extinction, head down to The Food Underground to feed your mind… or take a workshop to learn the art of day drinking (we won’t judge).
Ark of Taste
The Ark of Taste pop up booth will showcase eight Ark of Taste producers who are growing endangered fruits, vegetables, and animals from around the world. Come learn about the importance of preserving biodiversity and taste new and uncommon flavors. Educational demonstrations will take place on the hour at 9 AM, 11 AM, 12 noon, and 1 PM on Saturday July 15 and Sunday July 16 at the Denver Union Station Farmers Market on the plaza of Union Station.
The Food Underground
Join in discussions, workshops, talks and panels at The Food Underground, located in the gallery rooms in the basement of Union Station. These free talks will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, focusing on topics like food justice and access, agricultural policy, the science and history of food, sustainable seafood, and more.
Stay outside for the Denver Union Station Farmers Market on the plaza of Union Station from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday. Over 40 local Colorado producers will be selling local produce and products, alongside live cooking demonstrations, music and more.
