Fonio, The Ancient Miracle Grain

You know about farro, millet and quinoa. But have you heard of fonio? This ancient “miracle grain” is native to Senegal and is versatile, nutritious and gluten free. Once a forgotten ancient grain, fonio is being reintroduced to our palettes with the help of chef Pierre Thiam. Join us as we celebrate the oldest cultivated cereal in Africa!

The Kitchen Counter is a public stage that is visible to all, to experience the tastes and story of Slow Food. A ticket at the kitchen counter gets you a front row seat to engage directly with the chef.
